Tidy hotel with efficient and knowledgeable staff and nice food. Decent sized property room with an extremely comfy bed and internal bathroom. A great service and very good breakfast. The quick check-in.

I found the level of service from the staff very high as they were very welcoming and very attentive. I was upgraded room free of charge as the hotel was quiet that evening which was a nice touch. Having a drink in front of the open fire was a real luxury.
My only dissapointment was that I was not arriving until 7.45pm and I was told the kitchen closed at 8pm. I felt a bit as if it was suggested I have something to eat before I arrived. A party of 4 young people also came into the hotel around 8.30pm looking for a meal but were turned away. I think in the current economic climate the hotel should not be turning away potential business

There were luxury, elegant rooms with a four poster bed. There was plenty of food for breakfast, it was decent.
Lucky me, I had a problem with drain.

The venue's position was very central. Also, it was near a parish church. Queen room I stayed at was gorgeous and immaculate for the terrific view of the garden.

The hotel was only alright, we paid £175.00 per night for 5 nights bed and breakfast, yet there were far better deals offered which we enquired about but the hotel management decided to charge us full rate, dissappointing. The rooms were dated and not very well cleaned. All in all unfortunetely just alright, not worth the money.

I had planned a golfing outing at the Royal Dornoch Golf Course and wanted a bit of a splurge, something besides the B&B route. You filled the bill magnificently. Wonderful staff, lovely room, excellent all around.

Castle ambiance, Fine period decor, Unique check-in experience through the bar
The room I stayed in felt outdated with cheap furniture!!! I also struggled with noisy neighbors!!! Parking spaces were limited, and navigating the entrance can be quite a hassle!!!

Central location in town. Very comfortable, staff were very nice and the breakfast excellent. The setting and decoration were delightful.
I thought the prices in the dining room for dinner, both the set menu and the a la carte were pricey. I chose to eat elsewhere in the town and had excellent food and service for half the price.

We stayed in a garden room which was perfectly adequate for our two night stay to visit friends in the area. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the room and shower room very clean. The Hotel is perfectly situated in Dornoch and parking very easy.
Perhaps as the temperature outside drops some extra heating in the garden restaurant at breakfast time would be appreciated as it was on the cool side.

I reserved a room months before I arrived. However, I did not get a Castle room. Only one "left" was in the newer wing. I was not pleased about this as I could have gone elsewhere for the price I paid.

A tad pricey but the experience was worth it
They had an excellent selection of whiskies was good, took me back to my days of chemistry, but in a far more relaxing setting.
It wasn't inexpensive, but you know what, some things are worth the price.
